Fourth Class

Stepping back in time to 19th-century Ireland! 

Our 4th Class have been busy working on some fantastic history projects. From researching daily life and work to exploring the Great Famine, the fight to end British rule, and the Gaelic Revival, the children have done an amazing job bringing the past to life!

Our 4th Class students turned into real-life ecologists today! We teamed up with visiting scientists to investigate the water quality of our local river. By carefully inspecting and identifying the different types of aquatic invertebrates (tiny water insects!) living in the water, the children learned how to tell just how healthy our local ecosystem is. Brilliant hands-on science in action!

Inspired by the legends of Cú Chulainn, 4th Class have designed their own heroic shields!

After exploring the tales of the Red Branch Knights, our students brought history to life through art. Each shield reflects the bravery and strength of the Hound of Ulster.
