On Friday 9th June a walk to school was organised by our Parents Association in conjunction with the Board of Management, the staff and the Active Flag Committee.
Sports Day was held on Thursday 22nd June. Children participated in a wide range of activities including an obstacle course, penalty shots, basketball, dodge ball, welly throwing,hoola hoop and beanbag activities and athletics. The athletics was attended by parents and families.
We have a special place on our Active Board for all the boys and girls that achieve greatness outside of school in sport, whether it is in rugby, soccer, running, horse-riding, gymnastics, basketball or community games. We feel in Ahane National School that all achievements in sport should be recognised and we are very proud of each child that has avhieved something in sport so far this year.
